The 2019 Seat Alora is a brand new model from Spanish carmaker. Seat continues the expansion of its SUV models. To be exact, Alora is just one part of Seat’s crossover SUV lineup. The company already released two similar models, one of them is Arona, a subcompact SUV that shares plenty of cues with the Ibiza model. The second model is Seat Ateca, a compact SUV.
Now, the time has come for the third SUV in Seat’s lineup, and Alora comes as a midsize crossover SUV. Alora is dubbed as the Spanish version of Skoda Kodiaq. The exact details are yet to be announced, however, we know that the 2019 Alora will ride on an MQB platform, a famous platform from VW Group.
2019 Seat Alora sits on a slightly larger platform than MQB A0
Design of the 2019 Seat Alora is borrowed from Skoda Kodiaq, a three-row SUV and Alora will ride on MQB platform. Unlike the Arona model that is using MQB A0, a smaller platform version, the forthcoming Alora will ride on the slightly larger platform. Seat Alora will follow the company’s design language so we can expect many styling cues taken from Ateca compact SUV.
On the other hand, this is a flagship model, so plenty of unique details are mandatory. A front grille comes with the LED headlights up front, and sculpted hood looks very modern. The profile is almost the same as Skoda Kodiaq, and the rear is very similar to Seat’s Arona model with narrow taillights and bumper design. The panoramic sunroof is optional, however, 19-inch alloys are standard. Overall, the exterior looks very urban and upscale.
2019 Seat Alora interior is recognizable and modern
The 2019 Seat Alora will come with the comfortable and modern interior. The dashboard layout is recognizable and generally the same as almost all of the Seat’s models. However, unique details are there, and Seat offers this SUV in five and seven-seat configuration. As for the colors we expect some new interior colors and modifications in the final version of this attractive model.
Newest infotainment system adds an 8-inch touchscreen and other high-tech features such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Driver assistant amenities like automatic lights, adaptive cruise control, and camera system are all standard. The legroom is generous, even in the second row, and the seats come with optional leather materials.
2019 Seat Alora engine offers
Not only that the all-new 2019 Seat Alora shares styling cues with Skoda Kodiaq, the same refers to engine options. Alora will hit the markets with the base 1.4-liter TSI drivetrain that can produce up to 150 HP. An optional unit is a 2.0-liter TSI that cranks 175 hp and it offers all-wheel drive setup as standard. Even the diesel drivetrain will be there and it is a 2.0-liter TDI that burst 185 HP.
The transmission is 6-speed manual or automatic. Fuel economy ratings are not presented yet. However, we can expect good rating in this category.
2019 Seat Alora price and release date
The price of the approaching 2019 Seat Alora will be somewhere between $23,000 and $26,000. Even the price is in line with Skoda Kodiaq. However, the launch date has not been specified but it is certain for 2019 Alora to go on sale later this year.
